There’s baseball cards and then there’s baseball cards.  Anybody can go to a game and take a picture of a guy holding a bat or scratching his junk in the outfield or whatever, and I appreciate that because it’s given me a lot of cardstock to take scissors to, but!

But!  It takes a goddam genius to take a picture of a guy, and take another picture of the guy, and then sit down and paint both of those pictures of the guy right next to each other, and then look at it and damn the torpedoes and throw on some giant goddam flames just for good measure.  That, compadres y amigas, is a goddam baseball card.

Also, I only recently discovered that it isn’t spelled “badmitton” and I’m glad that I’ve now had a chance to put that knowledge to use.
