I like to think that baseball players are a pretty imaginitive bunch.  I mean, these are guys who, when asked what they wanted to be when they grew up, said something nuts like “baseball player” — and then didn’t change their answer.  That suggests a pretty freakin’ impressive ability to make your imagination do some useful work.  I’d bet the success rate for people who said “ninja” is a lot lower.

So I figure a bunch of these guys at the zoo would have a pretty great time.  Kids in a veritable animal store.  I just hope that an expansion team will come along and call itself The Hippos and make this strip retrospectively ironically factual.
